On Social Progress (Courtesy Financial Times)  On the Wealth Gap (Courtesy Vice Citing the US Census Bureau)  As we went to press with this final quarter-end edition of Notations, we were analyzing an interview done by NBC News with an Ukrainian Prosecutor regarding the Bidens-and the central role Rudy Giuliani played in this whole affair supported by the Special Representative for Ukraine.     226 Members of the US House of Representatives are on the record supporting an impeachment inquiry--even Tulsi Galbard who was a holdout.     Beyond the impeachment inquiry, we have also been assessing a major development as we chose the headlines courtesy Vice  & The Financial Times on the widening wealth gap.  It will be a focus of ours throughout the 4th Quarter here in our Properties.    This is as our team will also have a focus on Climate Change and the continued challenges in Brazil,  the challenges in India along with China as it celebrates 70 Years of Communist Rule on October 1.

US Senate Democratic Leader Earlier Today in the US Capitol  The Bulwark Reports On The Realities of Ukraine  It has been a breathtaking day as we went to press with this special late breaking edition of Notations.  President Trump had a news conference today as he tried to change the narrative on the gathering storm over impeachment due to the conversations he had with the President of Ukraine.    President Trump's network of supporters in the US Congress and the Conservative Media pushed the talking points as President Trump also cited Vice President Pence, the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Commerce as well--as Rudy Giuliani, the President's Personal Lawyer made the rounds in terms of what he did including supposed conversations Mr. Giuliani had with Officials at the State Department:      The House GOP Leader, Kevin McCarthy, went after Speaker Pelosi hard noting that she should resign--although this reporting from the Washington Examiner was also of note: BREAKING

In the United States, the US Speaker of the House Representatives, has authorized an impeachment inquiry.    She formalized the nature of the investigations in a nationwide statement that made World Headlines.    President Trump began with the simple tag, "Presidential Harassment" as his  Supporters in the US House, his campaign and his network of Supporters began an immediate public relations strike-back through Twitter and other Social Media avenues. Beyond the Shores of the United States, The UK Prime Minister was dealt a heavy blow by the UK Supreme Court epitomized by this headline from one of our featured partners, the Financial Times of London: The UK Parliament will be back in session later on today as underscored by the UK Speaker of Parliament: Interesting times....

Notations On Our World (Special Tuesday Edition): #RandomThoughts on #ClimateChange

We have been assessing the UN Climate Summit.    This 9-minute clip produced by the Finacial Times of London (where we have the privilege to share headlines daily on our Twitter Corner) with collaboration from the Royal Court depicts a future that can be possible if no action is taken.   President Trump paid a surprise visit to the Summit during the  day.  The Economist' @KalToons reflected upon it: Greta Thurberg, the Swedish Activist, spoke.    She was attacked by some of the conservative pundits here in the United States.    We chose excerpts of her comments as reported by the Guardian which we hereby present for review that we captured: This is her Statement in Full as we pay homage to her with all that she began over a year ago  in front of the Swedish Parliament: We join in noting this old saying from the Civil Rights Movement:  #WeShallOvercome.

“We’re living in a story-based world. We’re hard-wired to process things through the lens of stories which are linear narratives.” — Neal Stephenson   Our team decided to feature this courtesy of the Team at Mission because we view our Mission as to tell a story and to do what we can to make a difference. To this end, we have been assessing the state of affairs in Israel as another election took place and as we went to press, the current Prime Minister of Israel enticed the former Chief of Staff, Benny Gantz, to form a Unity Government.   We have also been assessing the aftermath of the attack on Saudi Arabia's Oil Facilities.  President Trump noted that the United States can defend Saudi Arabia--but Saudi Arabia has to reimburse the United States. In the meantime, it is the dawn of the annual UN General Assembly as we saw reports on how Iran has become a bit more challenging to tame while the United States has increased the pressure as visas for President Rouhani and Foreign Minis

Notations On Our World (Special Thursday Edition): Out & About In Our World

Notations On Our World (Weekly Edition): On #Afghanistan, @realDonaldTrump, #Iran & Other Thoughts

Image
We begin this edition of Notations on a somber note:  The US Secretary of State paying his respects to a fallen soldier who died as a result of the Taliban attack in Kabul, Afghanistan.    US  President Donald Trump noted that he abruptly cancelled a meeting with Taliban Leaders and the President of Afghanistan to try and achieve peace as a result.   The Taliban condemned the move and warned of even higher US Casualties.   President Trump's Twitter feed on this on Sunday was in our view quite a read: What was also known as #Sharpiegate also was the talk of the Social Media Circuit which entailed the President noting that Alabama was due to be hit and noted a sharpie--and then Administration Officials came out to basically take the fall for President Trump--and President Trump continued his attacks on the Media.   What was also of note was how NOAA staff was warned early in the month not to go against the President.  A sampling of the discourse over Social Media was telling--even Fo
